Le Mans Classic - July 11-13th 2008
This is going to be the
event for Marcos owners and enthusiasts in 2008 - We hope to have in excess of 70 Marcos at
this year's Le Mans Classic.

Our club stand is 24 and we are parked next to Jensen and De Tomaso, with Jaguar
and Audi close by. From the map on the back of your car pass, it looks as if we
will have to drive through most of the other clubs to reach our alloted space. You'll
find us at the end of the pink zone where it meets the yellow zone.
You will be entering by the south ("Sud") gate and the colour of your car pass ("rose") denotes the zone in which we will be parked,
so please look out for the signposts and do not attempt to enter through another
zone as you will be refused entry and will probably cause chaos along the way. Please
ensure that the car pass is clearly visible. Please be patient with those on the
gates and follow instructions to the letter.
Marcos car passes are only valid for Marcos cars and you should add your registration
number to the pass before getting to the circuit. Also, please ensure that you have
your entrance tickets, both driver and passenger, available for inspection as you
approach the nominated entry point. If you booked early your entrance pass also
gives access to the grandstand. Otherwise, as ordered, your separate grandstand
tickets will have been sent to you. Paddock entry is included in your entrance ticket.
For those with a modern carpark pass, the green ones, this area is just to the left
of the Entree Sud, so not too far away. This is where the support van (also known
as Richard's luggage and cleaning equipment carrier!) will be parked.
Entry to the Clubs' party, for those who have booked, is via the wrist band sent
to you.
There may still be some tickets available for the Clubs' Party, so please let the
secretary know asap if you would her to enquire.
Track Session
The track lap session - two laps - for Marcos cars on Sturday, is at 09:40, as shown
on your track pass. Cars must be ready for collection to go out on to the circuit
by 09:00. That means sitting in your car ready to follow the motorbikes which will
lead you onto the track at 09:10. The track pass should be affixed to the bottom
left hand side of the windscreen with the barcode visible. If you do
not have a track pass please do not attempt to join the queue.
There are 206 cars in our track lap session, with Marcos having by far the largest
number. Enjoy yourselves, but remember that any incident could lead to the session
being curtailed, with a subsequent impact on later sessions. Overtaking the pace
car is a definite red card offence.
It would be much appreciated if someone who is not participating would volunteer
to marshall the gathering of cars for the track session.

Club site is by password: bugatti-sesame
Dress code: The dress code for the Paddock is basically smart casual, or in the
words of the organisers 'please wear clothes as nice as your cars'. The Paddock
is not part of the Bugatti Enclosure, where our cars will be parked.
